BROOKLYN WINERY
Ceremony and Reception
Friday, May 28, 2021
6 - 11 PM
Brooklyn Winery
213 N 8th St
Brooklyn, NYC
Dress Code: We want our guests to find creativity in their attire! We will be honoring Brooklyn with certain fun touches and would love for our guests to dress in "Brooklyn Chic". This roughly translates to a colorful twist on Cocktail Attire. We’ve put together a Pintrest Board with inspiration and ideas.
COVID Precautions and Rules
NY State Regulations
All guests will have their temperatures checked upon arrival to the venue.
Masks will be required at all times except when seated and eating or drinking
Everyone will fill out a short contact tracing questionnaire upon entry to the event
While the state does not require proof of recent negative test results or proof of immunization prior to the event, we request everyone to either get vaccinated, get tested prior to the wedding, or both! We want to make sure everyone can enjoy the experience and have peace of mind throughout.
Accommodations
Instead of a block of rooms set aside at a particular hotel, we encourage you to choose a hotel that fits your style, price point and aligns with your New York weekend adventure. Here are some of our favorite hotels near Brooklyn Winery:
Brooklyn:
The Wythe: This is a favorite spot of ours! It’s a 10 minute walk away from the venue, or a 4 minute cab ride if you are too tired from dancing! Le Crocodile is the fantastic restaurant on site and we have enjoyed many great cocktails on their rooftop bar.
The Hoxton: If you want to stay super close to Brooklyn Winery, this is your best bet! If you can’t get enough wine, you can hit up Klein’s Wine Bar in the lobby for some natural wines on tap! They also have an amazing restaurant in house called Winterly. Talk about gourmet room service! They also have cocktails to-go and you can do pick up or delivery, in case you simply want to try it out.
The Williamsburg Hotel: This hotel is an 8 minute walk away from our venue and has so many amenities to keep you entertained. Not only does it have multiple options for eating at the hotel (The Restaurant, The Patio, The Lobby Bar and The Water Tower), but you’ll also find yourself across the street from the famed Brooklyn Brewery and other fantastic Brooklyn eats.
Sheraton, Hilton and Marriott in Downtown Brooklyn: If you have loyalty to a specific hotel chain, your best bet to find those will be in Downtown Brooklyn. That will mean about a 15 minutes cab ride from the hotel to the venue, but you will have many options to choose from and can use those points!
Manhattan:
The Ludlow: This is a punk version of a boutique hotel and we love it! While it is across the Williamsburg Bridge, it should only take you 13 minutes in a cab to get to Brooklyn Winery. The Ludlow is situated in the Lower East Side and is near some of the best food in the city. Also it is close to the Tenement Museum - fascinating!
The Standard East Village: We love staying at The Standard! It is a 16 minute ride to the venue, but you won’t regret a minute of staying there (the views are INSANE). There is a lot to explore in the hotel, but we would encourage you to grab a bagel and walk a few blocks to Washington Square park to people watch.
Citizen M New York Bowery: If you want to stay in bed for your entire stay - look no further than Citizen M! It’s only a 12 minute cab ride to the venue and we are pretty sure this hotel has the largest beds in NYC. You can literally control all aspects of your room (tv channels, turning off lights, closing curtains, etc.) with an app! Talk about relaxation.
Any hotel chain you can think of - Financial District: Again, if you have loyalty to a specific hotel chain, you can find everything in the Financial District. It takes less than 20 minutes to get from Wall Street to Brooklyn Winery, so you won’t feel like you are missing any of the party!
Transportation from Airport
Airports:
LaGuardia (LGA) /approximately (25-30 min. from NYC).
John F. Kennedy (JFK) /approximately (45-50 min. from NYC).
Newark Liberty (EWR) /approximately (50-60 min. from NYC) .
Trains:
Penn Station – Access to Amtrak, The Long Island Railroad (LIRR), New Jersey Transit (NJ Transit) & Subway lines.
Grand Central – Access to Metro North & Subway lines.
We recommend flying into LaGuardia Airport for easiest access to the hotel. From LaGuardia and JFK we recommend taking a cab or car service of your choice to your hotel. From Newark we recommend taking the air train into Penn Station and making your way to your hotel via cab or subway from there.
While in NYC your choice of transportation will be relative to how comfortable you are with the Subway and Bus Systems. We encourage you to try, but to also be prepared to take cabs or to have car service apps (Uber/Lyft) installed and registered on your phones in a pinch.
